Privacy Policy
State Exam Pass LLC (“SEP”) operates www.stateexampass.com, hereto referred to as “the site” or “our site”. It is our policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our website. Website VisitorsLike most website operators, SEP collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. SEP’s purpose in collecting this non-personally identifying information is to better understand how SEP’s visitors use its website. This information is also collected so that SEP may posses an audit trail of all traffic on our site, and so that we may respond appropriately if or when our site is attacked. From time to time, SEP may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website. SEP also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. SEP does not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information, as described below. Gathering of Personally-Identifying InformationCertain visitors to SEP’s websites choose to interact with SEP in ways that require SEP to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that SEP gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, visitors to our site may browse all publicly available pages, and may take our 5-question Demo Exam, with no registration being required. Those who purchase one or more State exam prep courses are required to provide their First and Last Name, a username and an email address for accessing their courses and all other site content that will be made available to them during their registered, 3-month subscription period . These individuals are referred to as “Registered Users”. The Registered User may be asked for additional information to complete their site registration, however, SEP will not ask for nor will we accept, collect, store, or process in any way the Registered User’s financial information. The last point is very important, and bears repeating: State Exam Pass, LLC, neither directly nor via our site www.stateeexampass.com, will NOT ask for, nor will we accept, collect, store, or process in any way the Registered User’s financial information. Any and all financial transactions, and the exchange of relevant financial information is processed by PayPal, as follows: SEP uses PayPal as our exclusive online payment processor. At the moment a Registered User of our site purchases one or more State exam prep courses, they will be redirected to PayPal’s site, where they will complete their transaction by submitting to PayPal their payment in one of the following 2 forms: 1) By submitting their payment to PayPal using a major credit card. 2) By logging-in to their pre-existing PayPal account, and submitting their payment to PayPal via their PayPal account. Once the Registered User has completed their purchase, they will be automatically redirected to our site. Once more, for good measure, we’d like to restate that very important fact: State Exam Pass, LLC, neither directly nor via our site www.stateeexampass.com, will NOT ask for, nor will we accept, collect, store, or process in any way the Registered User’s financial information. Any and all financial transactions, and the exchange of relevant financial information is processed by PayPal. Aggregated StatisticsSEP may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its website. For instance, SEP may monitor the most popular message threads on the site, or SEP may use spam screened by our web hosting service to help identify spam. SEP may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, SEP does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. Protection of Certain Personally-Identifying InformationSEP discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on SEP’s behalf or to provide services available at SEP’s website, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home state or home country; by using SEP’s website, you consent to the transfer of such information to them. SEP will NOT rent or sell potentially personally-identifying information to anyone other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above. SEP discloses potentially personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when SEP believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of SEP, third parties or the public at large. If you are a registered user of an SEP website and have supplied your email address, SEP may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with SEP and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. SEP takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information. CookiesA cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. SEP uses cookies to help SEP identify and track visitors, their usage of SEP website, and their website access preferences. SEP visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using SEP’s website, with the drawback that certain features of SEP’s website may not function properly without the aid of cookies. Privacy Policy ChangesAlthough most changes are likely to be minor, SEP may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and in SEP’s sole discretion. SEP encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
